Pedal for Protein Rides Again in 2020

The need to feed the hungry in our communities could be greatest this year because of COVID-19 and the effect it has had on our society. This letter is sent to all the Pastors of the Churches in the Presbytery of the Redwoods or specifically to those have volunteered to help with this year's Campaign. Over the last six years, P4P has collected nearly a quarter million dollars to combat hunger in our Presbytery. The response from the participating churches has been AMAZING!

WE “CAN” DO IT, but we need your help!

First, we want to invite riders from your Church to join the Ride and participate with the P4P ride. The five-day ride is meant for experienced riders who would like to ride 50 or 60 miles per day, enjoying great fellowship and joy as we ride through the beautiful countryside of Northern California. Contact one of the Ride Directors for specific information. Some riders say this is a LIFETIME EXPERIENCE!

We are offering less challenging rides at Knox Church in Santa Rosa on the final day of the campaign. These are shorter rides catering to youth and novice riders. This is a well attended event and a successful part of P4P. This is a fun day! Sign up. You'll be glad you did!

Secondly, your Church can sponsor P4P, even if you don't have a rider. We would like a representative from your Church to promote the Event, share the goals and ambitions of our efforts and take donations for Pedal for Protein. Maybe you have a rider that is an associate of your Church, but not a member? That's OK! The important part is to understand the needs of the hungry in our communities and make sure we are stocking our Food Pantries with nutritious protein-rich foods.

The Campaign is sponsored by the Presbytery of the Redwoods and has been very successful in the past six years. Please help make this year's Pedal for Protein Ride the best yet!
